Great News! David Frum Threatens to Bolt the GOP!

God, good riddance to that guy! He's bailing the party if Mitt or Huntsman don't get the nomination. Hunstman? What's up with that anyway? And Newt's too conservative for Frum? Newt "Dede Scozzafava" Gingrich? Talk about a puerile punditry. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, loser.

See Legal Insurrection, "Jump, David, Jump."

And check out Victor Davis Hanson for the palette cleanser:

Aaaargh! DD:

One rarely catches VDH in an unforced error, but this one's a whopper: the idea that "media" portrayals of Romney as a "conservative" in '08 were accurate.

Romney was selling as a "conservative" in '08, but indeed NO, the conservative Republican base has never bought it. In relative terms, yes, Romney was far more business oriented and "conservative" on economics that say Huck or McCain but WOW!

He wasn't a libertarian-Conservative in '08 and he isn't now. He has drifted somewhat that direction, one hopes, after the tsunami of '10.

Mitt ain't all bad. Honorable man and a vetted executive. He may well take cues from an active Conservative Congress if we get our act together on the congressional races. I'll support him if it comes to that. (Please pass the nose plugs.)

But to Frum...
This is but the latest in a career smelling of many such hissy-fits. (Au revoire, pal.)

On behalf of all Canadians, I apologize for both David Frum and Justin Beiber. Sorry......

Hey Clausewitz, you can have back Peter Jennings, Celine Dion, Neil Young, Jenny Granholm and David Brooks. Hell, you can have Obama too. "Free Trade."
